This trip in the Garhwal Himalayas has all the essence of an outstanding excursion and offers spectacular mountain panoramas. The route is through typical Garhwal villages and along trails is almost unknown to western trekkers which, for many people, will add to the other attractions of magnificent scenery, passing through several remote villages and fine display of flowers. We go to the Corbett Tiger Reserve, which was established in 1936 and is home to a multitude of India's famous wildlife - from large elephant herds to the shy tigers, to crocodiles, monkeys, the bear, different species of deer, and endless amounts of bird-life. Arrive In Delhi
Upon arrival in Delhi you are met at the airport by our representative and transferred to the hotel.

Delhi
After break fast our guide will collect you for the sightseeing of Old and New Delhi. Visit of Old Delhi includes a visit to the Red Fort, built in 1648 during the reign of Shah Jehan in red sandstone, which gave the fort its name. Jama Masjid is India's largest mosque, Chandni Chowk (Silver Street), once the imperial avenue down which Shah Jehan rode at the head of lavish cavalcades, is today bustling with shops, stalls and silversmiths' ateliers. Also visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.
Sightseeing of New Delhi includes a visit to India Gate, built in memory of Indian soldiers killed during the First World War. Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, Humayun's Tomb, Lakshmi Narayan Temple was built in 1938 in a pleasantly laid out garden and is named after the goddess of wealth and the god Narayan, though other deities are also housed here.

Delhi To Corbett National Park (07 Hour Drive, 300 Km)
After breakfast drive to Corbett. Initially the road passes through sprawling suburbs. After Moradabad, a town renowned for its fine brass work, the scenery improves and the countryside becomes more interesting as one proceeds for the final stretch between Ramnagar and Corbett is through small villages interspersed with forest. Arrive in Ramnagar and stop for lunch. After Lunch drive to Dhikala (Corbett) 2hours. Upon arrival check in at resort |

Corbett To Nainital (02 Hours Drive, 70 Km)
Morning Wildlife game drive and after breakfast, depart on the 2-hour drive to Nainital, a lake resort set at a height of 1,938 meters in a beautiful wooded valley. Discovered by a British traveller in 1841, it has today developed into a popular hill station. Surrounded by seven hills, the sparkling waters of a natural lake make it a gem among hill resorts. Spend the day exploring Nainital, a maze of colourful bobbing yachts, paddle and rowing boats, quaint houses and bazaars.
Places of interest include the Naina peak, which commands a panoramic view of the valley; Snow View, a most easily accessible mountain peak ideal for a quiet picnic; Land's End which offers a magnificent view of Kurpa Tal (lake) and Hanumangarhi a religious spot with a temple dedicated to the Monkey God Hanuman, which also offers a spectacular view of the Himalayas.

Nanital To Binsar (03 Hours Drive, 96 Km)
After breakfast depart for Binsar. Once the summer capital of the Chand Rajas (7th to 8th century) is one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas and a well acclaimed hill resort. The surrounding hills abound in forests of Himalayan oak and rhododendron, alpine flora, ferns, hanging moss and species of wild flowers. Binsar also offers spectacular views of the Himalayas - a 300-km stretch of snow-clad peaks including Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Panchchuli. Binsar
Besides relaxing in the paradise setting of the camp, nature and village walks with a local guide. Short trek in the morning and afternoon as well as all day trek with local guide and a picnic lunch into the nearby forest and towards the Himalayan Mountains can be arranged.
Adventure activities such as rock climbing river rafting on the Saryu River and angling for the Mighty Mahseer is also available.

Binsar To Kausani (03 Hours Drive, 81 Km)
After break fast drive to Kausani. Kausani nestling amongst dense pine forests, atop a narrow ridge, Kausani offers a spectacular 300-km wide view of the Himalayan range - particularly the snow clad Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks which seem to be within touching distance.
En route visit Bageshwar temple, an important Shaivite centre which stands at the confluence of the Gomti and Saryu rivers. Also visit Baijnath temple, situated on the banks of the Gomti River, just below Kausani ridge.

Kausani To Rudraprayag (05 Hours Drive, 122 Km)
Early morning after breakfast drive to Rudraprayag is the confluence of the Rivers Mandakini and Alaknanda. Rudraprayag is one of the five famous prayags (confluence) of Garhwal region in Uttaranchal state. There are several towns en route famous for ancient temples dating from 7th century AD up to 12th century AD. Nearby town of Srinagar is the famous educational town of Garhwal. There are several ancient temples in this town. Over nigh in hotel.
En route visit Bageshwar temple, an important Shaivite centre which stands at the confluence of the Gomti and Saryu rivers. Also visit Baijnath temple, situated on the banks of the Gomti River, just below Kausani ridge.

Rudrahpayag To Rishikesh (07 Hours, 135 Km)
Early morning after breakfast drive to Rishikesh. This place is located on the right bank of the Ganga, surrounded on three sides by the Himalayan ranges. A renowned centre of Yoga discipline and learning, Rishikesh is dotted with shrines and ashrams. Some 5 km away is the famous temple of Laxman Jhoola, dedicated to Laxman, the brother of Lord Ram, where he is believed to have performed penance. Afternoon check in to the camp site on the bank of river Ganges evening at leisure and enjoy camp fire.

Morning Rafting And Evening Train To New Delhi
Morning enjoy rafting on Ganges. Drive(30 Minutes) to Shivpuri. Arrive and walk down to the river. After preparation and safety briefing raft down till Rishikesh. Today we hit some of the most exciting rapids on Ganga e.g. Return to sender, Roller coaster, Golf Course and Club House. Hot lunch will be served in beach. After lunch We hit Initiation, Double Trouble, Hilton and terminator rapids. In the evening you will be transferred to Haridwar railway station to board shatabdi train (AC chair car) to New Delhi.

Transfer To International Airport
Morning at leisure and in the afternoon you will drive to Delhi. Transfer to international airport for your homeward journey. |
